What is the cost for your services? 

You'll be charged % of the collections. This method of invoicing ensures that we both are working towards the same goal - collecting the maximum amount of money for your practice. This rate will be negotiated depending upon on the type of practice, volume and which services you choose. We guarantee that our rates will be competitive while providing you with the best value for your billing dollar. We understand that our role is to offer you a rate that is cost-effective to increase your profits. We also offer rates for exclusively working on A/R.

 

How long is the set-up process? Do you have any start-up costs?

We can start the setup process immediately. Generally, the process takes 3-5 days for most physicians. We can give you a more accurate estimate after reviewing your individual practice. There is a one-time setup fee of $250. In order for us to process your claims effectively and efficiently, we go through a very laborious and time-consuming setup process. This process includes entering all your data into our system, creating customized forms and setting up your account with our clearinghouse. It is important to note that we do not charge you any hidden fees. You pay only the initial setup fee and agreed % of the collections.

 

How would I send my billing information to you? 

Our goal is to provide our clients with the flexibility to utilize several different options for collecting information depending on what is most convenient. We can personally pick up the billing information from your office if your office is located in Phoenix or surrounding areas. In addition to that we also utilize Fed Ex, UPS, US mail, Fax or scan to email.

 

Do I have to sign a contract? 

No, Quality Medical Billing Solutions works off of non-binding contracts. So you do NOT have to sign any contract requiring you to use our services for any length of time like some other billing services require. However due to HIPAA regulations, you must sign a Business Associate Agreement. We are confident that you will be satisfied with our services and want to continue using our services.

 

Do I need to purchase software to use your services?
No, you do not need to purchase any software. You will need to have high speed internet access. A user license is required to access our network.

 

Do you transmit claims electronically? 

Yes, we submit claims electronically to most carriers. Insurance carriers who are not equipped for electronic claims submission will receive our computer generated claims on paper utilizing a standard HCFA 1500 claim form. 

 

Will you file our claims to secondary /Tertiary payers? 

Yes, Secondary and tertiary claims submission is part of our service.

 

Where will the insurance companies send the payments?

All checks and EOBs (Explanation of Benefits) will be sent directly to your office. Since most insurance companies offer Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA), electronic versions of the EOBs, and electronic funds transfer (EFT), physicians can receive electronic EOBs and payments faster than the standard paper delivery. This also allows QMBS to receive electronic notification of payments through ERA, making the follow-up process efficient and speedy. For physical copies we collect the EOBs only so that we can perform effective follow-up.

 

Will you need to take any patient charts out of my office?
No
, patient charts will never leave your facility. Occasionally notes may be needed to appeal a claim, or in some cases required with claim submission. If one of those situations arises, we will let you know what the carrier is requesting in order to have the claim processed correctly.

 

Where can patients call for billing questions/inquiries?

Patients can call our office for any billing related inquiries. Ensuring that your patients are satisfied with the billing process is extremely important to QMBS. 

 

Do you follow-up on unpaid claims? 

Yes, since we are paid on a % of your collections, we have an inherent incentive to work on all outstanding monies to the fullest extent. We understand that every dollar adds up and we take pride in collecting as much money as possible for you.

 

Are you HIPAA Compliant?

Yes, we are HIPAA compliant. We have privacy and security protections in our office such as password protection, regular back-ups stored off site and shredding of all discarded Patient Health Information.

 

Do you have any other services than what is listed on your services page?

Yes, we do! Please contact us regarding your specific inquiry by filling out our request for more information. We give you the services you want and need. At QMBS, we do our best to accommodate you. We are willing to customize our services to fit your practice!
